A bill in the Oklahoma Senate would create a separate classification for large school districts that have only one high school. 

The Oklahoma Senate approved a budget Wednesday for a $7.5 billion spending plan in the fiscal year 2019 spending plan by a vote of 36 to 8. The bill will increase spending by more than $700 million and includes funding for the promised $6,100 teacher pay raises

More funding is headed to Oklahoma education after the Senate passed House Bill 1019XX, also known as the Amazon tax.
